Okay, this will just be fun for a Friday. It's pretty much officially Christmas season.
What's your favourite Christmas music? I'd love everyone to weigh in one:
- Your favourite current Christmas CD
- Your all time favourite Christmas CD
- Your favourite Christmas song to sing on Christmas Eve
Here's mine:
- Current: Relient K - Let it Snow Baby, Let It Reindeer
- All Time: Charlie Brown's Christmas (love Vince Guiraldi)
- Church: O Come All Ye Faithful (O Come Let Us Adore Him) - Passion (as in Louie Giglio) version
There we go. Can't wait to hear yours.
Favorite Current CD: Third Day "Christmas Offerings" (LOOOOOOOVE Third Day)
Favourite Christmas CD of all time: Andrew Peterson's "Behold The Lamb of God: The True Tall Tale of the Coming of the Christ" (LOOOOOVE the uber-long title, LOOOVE that he begins in Exodus and takes the story through to Easter, LOOOOOVE the music and the songs, and the ABSOLUTELY SUBLIME version of 'While Shepherds Watched')
Favorite Church Song: "'Twas in the Moon of Wintertime"...this is the telling of the Christmas story from a uniquely Canadian perspective. Growing up in Northern Ontario, the images of a baby born 'within a lodge of broken bark' and wrapped in a 'ragged robe of rabbit skin' were especially meaningful.
Fun questions! Merry Christmas!
Cheers,
R.

Hey Carey, great topic!
My favourite current Christmas CD is Alan Jackson's "Let it be Christmas".
My favourite Christmas CD of all time would probably be one that my Mom purchased a few years ago called "Jazz to the World". Its a Christmas CD, full of famous Jazz artists, it was sold to benefit Special Olympics. Everything about it is great! :)
This third one is really hard and it took a lot of thinking. At the end though I decided it had to be Joy to the World. Love it!
See you tomorrow, I love the Revolutionary Love series!

I love Christmas music, and probably because we only hear it for such a short period of time...
Favorite current CD: Casting Crowns' newest release, "Peace on Earth". Includes a redo of "While you were sleeping"
Favourite Christmas CD: Steven Curtis Chapman, "The Music of Christmas"
Favourite Church song: Hard to choose. O come let us adore Him.
Favourite contemporary song: He made a way in a manger. It brings the Christmas story full circle to the Good News of Easter.
